Between Enzo and the Universe Read online

  When my eyes caught a flash of sky-blue fabric hanging from the doorknob of the restaurant, my breath caught in my throat. Jerkily, I stumbled towards the building, nearly drunk with disbelief as I approached the door. Getting closer, I realized it was Noe’s coat. A simple scrap of white paper was paperclipped to the sleeve. “This is Enzo’s. Sorry.”

  I suppose the universe finally said the one word I had needed it to say.
